Currently hanging at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas.

This colorful and energetic painting was painted with my non-dominant hand/arm while I was recovering from a fractured shoulder.  I was experimenting with shapes and lines, totally out of my comfort zone.  I can't wait to see it all framed up!  Thanks for looking at my art.  Kay

Borrowed Vases

Borrowed Vases

10" x 20" Oil on Canvas

Framed up, and available at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas

Here's a fun little still life that I painted in the studio after one of my studio mates brought in a cute collection of hand-thrown ceramic vases.  I painted in some flowers in them once I got the vases drawn in.  Thanks for looking at my art...Kay

New Itty Bitties!

Itty Bitty Series---More!

Each original painting is 3" x 3" x 1/2" Oil on Cradleboard

No two painting are alike!

Dutch Art Gallery has a new batch of these!

I like to shake things up in the studio.  Sometimes I work on 6 feet wide canvases, and sometimes I paint on 3 inch canvases. What a fun change!  I just explored some new subject matter for the Itty Bitty Series...a couple of cheeseburgers, some new vases, prickly pear cactus and some different color combinations.  These smalls are great gifts, and when placed on an easel adds a little happiness to the room! Contact Kay with any comments or questions.  Thanks for looking, KMW

Contemporary Still Life

Thank you to Dutch Art Gallery's owner, Pam Massar for finding a forever home for this still life.  One of my favorite things to paint is this lovely tablecloth.  It was given to me by a friend, and it is vibrant and colorful.  The blooms were from a studio mate's garden...it was a fun painting to paint.  I love to see my paintings find new homes.  Thanks again to Pam!  Kay

High Drama

High Drama

Contemporary Abstract

24" x 24" Oil and Charcoal on Gallery Wrap Canvas

This painting is framed up and now at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas.  As I painted, I pushed and pulled the flowers, moving the paint.    I wanted the flowers to go in and out of focus, and loose some edges.  If you look closely, you can see I used charcoal to draw into the paint.  I was experimenting with some different color combinations.  Thanks for looking at my art.  Kay
