(Thank you, LB for the title recommendation.)

38" x 44" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Contemporary Seascape/Palette Knife Painting

This painting has been on my easel for months, and I just put my last brushstroke on it.  Now it is drying in the new studio, waiting to be varnished.  I started with a reference photos from Naxos, then added a boat from Scotland, and finally some Michigan boats.  I just found out that this painting has been accepted into the Dutch Art Gallery Annual Juried Art Show!  Thanks for looking at my art....Kay

I am back in the studio after traveling and a broken shoulder.  I am not 100%, but I am getting close.  My mission for the month of September is to finish up paintings that I have started, but not finished.  Thanks for looking at my blog!  Contact Kay for more info.  Kay

10" x 20" Oil on RayMar Panel

Contemporary Landscape/Palette Knife Painting

Finished!  Using a palette knife and thick layers of oils, I painted this cotton panel in the studio.  I was able to go back into my memory and a few photos to capture the beauty of nature and the great outdoors.  When looking closely, you can see the texture created with the knife.  This one is currently getting a custom frame.  Thanks for looking at my art.  Contact Kay for more info on this painting.  KMW

40" x 18" Oil on Canvas

Contemporary Abstract

Currently hanging at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas.

This colorful and energetic painting was painted with my non-dominant hand/arm while I was recovering from a fractured shoulder.  I was experimenting with shapes and lines, totally out of my comfort zone.  I can't wait to see it all framed up!  Thanks for looking at my art.  Kay
