I am back in the studio after traveling and a broken shoulder.  I am not 100%, but I am getting close.  My mission for the month of September is to finish up paintings that I have started, but not finished.  Thanks for looking at my blog!  Contact Kay for more info.  Kay

Contemporary Still Life

Right off my easel, this small still life is happy and colorful.

I painted it with thick oils, and you can see the brushstrokes

up close.  This cradleboard is ready to have a new home and

hang on someone's wall!  Thanks for looking at my blog, Kay

8" x 8" Oil on Cradleboard
Contemporary Floral Still Life

Lately I have been into small bouquets of tightly packed florals on a small scale.  I am simplifying a small vase with three or four colorful flowers.  It's so hot here in Dallas that I am staying cool in the studio...more florals to post tomorrow!  Contact Kay for more info on any of the art posted here.  Thanks, KMW

Fresh Pick

Fresh Pick

40" x 40" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Contemporary Still Life Painting

Variety is the spice of life!  With this painting I

made sure that there was variety in color, shapes, brush

technique, textures, values, and of course the wide range

of blooms.  Probably my most favorite flowers in the still life

are the sunflowers...I like the droopy and irregular

shapes that happen with the weight of the flower.  This

painting is available for purchase.  Contact Kay for

more info.  Thanks for looking....KMW

Timeless

Timeless

60" x 36" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Contemporary Floral Landscape

Timeless is one of my favorite paintings...I liked it so much that I had it printed on my business cards.  The colors were mixed and mixed, and are very harmonious.  There is plenty of texture on the canvas...you can see the palette knife work, almost like frosting on a cake.  Let me know if you have any comments or questions concerning my art...I would love for Timeless to have a new home!  Kay

Posey I and II

These company pieces are fun, colorful and textural.  There are layers and layers of paint, lines and palette knife work.  Posey I and Posey II can be hung separately or together...whatever works for your wall space!  Thanks for looking at my blog.  Have an artful day!  Kay
