I was visiting Pitzer's Fine Art Gallery in Wimberley, Texas in May when I spotted a beautiful floral arrangement that had been delivered to Pam, the gallery director.  The arrangement was an early Mother's Day gift to Pam.  OMG, I had to photograph them and paint them!  The colors were amazing, and I decided that they would pop if I painted them on silver leaf.  I can't wait to get this floral framed up!  It is drying in the studio.  Thanks for looking at my blog...Contact Kay with any questions or comments.  KMW

Freeflowing stems and petals on this canvas started out with me experimenting with a new color.  Moonglow by Daniel Smith is the name of it, and I love the deep deep eggplant color, especially with the silver leaf background.  This happy painting is drying in the studio, and I hope to put a floater frame on it soon.  Contact Kay for more info.  Thanks for looking at my blog.  KMW

There's something special about painting from life.  It's easier to capture the colors, the lines, the textures...and the personality of the flowers.  I went to my local florist, and asked for an exotic and complicated bouquet, and I got it!  This was so much fun to paint.  Thanks for looking at my blog!  Kay

I just finished this in the studio!  It was a fun piece to paint, with layers and layers of blooms and leaves on top of the silver leaf that I applied over a base coat of black.  This colorful and free-flowing diptych will look great in a silver floater frame.  Contact Kay for more information on this painting.  Thanks for looking....KMW
