Here's my set-up in the studio.

I had been wanting to paint this lovely vase for a long time.

It was alway at my in-law house, sitting on the grand piano.

I might need to put some hi-lights on it, but for the most part it is completed.  It took about 4 hours from start to finish.  Thanks for looking at my blog.  Kay

I had planned on painting multi-colored peppers, but couldn't find what I wanted at the store.  So I decided to go with the jalapeños that I had, and pulled out a very colorful and textured placemat.  The placemat was very fun to paint, and I will probably use it again in a painting.  Here's my photo of the actual set-up and the small painting.  Thanks for looking at my blog.  Kay

I worked on this one for a couple of days, after one of my studio mates was given this  stunning arrangement.  I tackled it at the easel, and decided that because there were so many blooms, and so much going on, I needed a good size canvas, so I picked up a 16" x 16" panel, and painted away.  The arrangement was so full of unique blooms---here's a pic, although I don't think it does it justice.

I needed to change things up, and paint something that was new to me.  A quick trip to Sprouts, and I I my subject matter, multicolored organic carrots.  I arranged them on an Ironstone platter, which was great for showing off all the interesting shadows that were cast.  Here's my painting with the platter:

Blue and white transferware is a favorite of mine, and hydrangeas from Trader Joe's is one of my favorite florals to paint.  So, I put a small still life arrangement together and was set for the afternoon!  You can bet that I will be painting these petals again this week.  Thanks for looking at my blog, Kay

Thanks to one of my studio mates for lending me the bowl...and yuzu!  It made a perfect still life for the second day of the challenge.  I was able to complete this in one setting, about 2 hours.  Here is a pic of the set-up:
