This is a 9" x 12" oil painting, painted from a photo I took in Salado, Texas. We were eating lunch at the local BBQ joint, and this truck was parked in a front yard across the street. We all thought it had alot of character. Actually, the whole town has alot of character. This is my second painting of an old truck, and I must say it is not getting easier. The next truck I paint is going to be on a larger canvas. The smaller canvas forces me to paint in details and use smaller brushes, pushing me out of my comfort zone. But, that is o.k. Small, medium or large....doesn't matter what size the canvas is, it is how the paint is applied, the whole process I go through, and the end results that counts.
I didn't know you did another truck. I love the green you used!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment. Green must be your favorite color. Maybe my next painting should be a little red Escort!
ReplyDeleteHa, I'm sure that painting would be a big hit... for dad.
