Painting #31 in the 31-Day Strada Easel Challenge/Painting From Life

Here's #31, and I am done!  My last painting of the month is an interior view of the studio, with my easel, taboret, work table and stacks of canvas.  You can see the paint laid out on top of the taboret, and my collection of brushes and mark-making tools.  I purposely put a blank canvas on my easel.  The possibilities are endless for the next painting...and I am glad that I participated in the challenge.  Here's a shot of my work area that I painted.  Thanks for looking, Kay

Day #29 Strada Easel Challenge/Painting from Life

This was a fun little painting, I grabbed scissors, went to the parking lot and picked up a rock, and scrunched up a piece of paper.  The background is turquoise, although it appears to have some cobalt in it. I may add some more shadows to give it more depth.  And a hi-light or two.  I know our little grands will be able to talk about this painting!

Day #28 of 31/Strada Easel Challenge

I wanted to challenge myself to paint something other than flowers...so, I pulled out this antique typewriter.  After I started my drawing, I wondered what I was thinking.  It's old and complicated.  After four layers of paint, I had to stop and give it a rest.  I hope to put details in in a few days--lettering, hi-lites, and touches of silver, brass and gold.  Here's what I have so far, along with the still life set-up in the studio.  Thanks for looking, Kay

Day #27 Strada Easel Challenge 2022

I had wanted to go to the lake and paint, but it was too cold for me.  So I stayed inside the studio and painted an interior view of the studio with my big easel as the focal point.  Here's a photo below of the painting sitting at the bottom of my easel, which is holding a painting, a palette, brushes, palette knives and paper towels.  Normally I do not paint interiors, so the subject matter was a challenge for me!

Painting from an arrangement that LHFlowers made up, I was so excited with the variety in colors, texture, and blooms.  I had lots of fun painting this one today.  I think it took me about 3 hours...and I probably need to go back in and make a few adjustments once the paint sits for a couple of day.
