Turkey Commission - Sold

Turkey Commission
24" x 26" Oil on Linen Gallery Wrap
This painting was commissioned by a Mimi-----she contacted me this summer and wanted a painting with a couple of turkeys.  Mimi had seen some of my rooster and chicken paintings and wanted a painting for her home in New Hampshire.  It was fun working with her and creating this piece for her home, and a gift to her husband.  Sometimes you need a little "push" to paint something different...and this painting did that.  I had not painted turkeys before....and learned alot about them when researching them.  Thanks for viewing this blog, and thanks to Mimi!!!  To see more of my art, visit my website at www.kwyne.com.

Finish Line....It's Derby Day!

Finish Line is a 16" x 16" Oil Painting...Sold. But I had to post it since it is the first Saturday in May....the Kentucky Derby runs today! It is always a fun time to watch....especially all the traditions that go along with the derby. I have the Kentucky Derby on my bucket list...I hope to get there sometime! Anyway, I posted this painting because of the day, and I hope the race is fun, exciting, colorful and memorable. Have a great day....Kay

Garden Gate

This abstract is a take-off from a garden scene...iron gate, florals and butterflies. It is on a gallery wrap canvas. The soft buttery colors are a little bit different than my usual color scheme. The paint is layered on the canvas giving it texture. I hope you enjoy this painting!

Croquet

This is a 6" x 8" panel I painted soon after the Carol Marine Workshop. I liked the placement of the objects; a mallet, a post and a ball...all out of an old and worn croquet set that we have in the garage. We have some interesting and rather old croquet balls...most of them do no belong in a set, but ones that have been collected over the years. I have more croquet balls than mallets, so I display all the balls in a big bowl on a coffee table in the den. More croquet balls to come tomorrow....
