Contemporary Landscape

Venturing outside this morning, I drove to White Rock Lake, and painted at the same spot I painted last week.  It looked totally different since the tall grass in the foreground had been cut.  The patterns that the mower left were interesting, so that's what I focused on.  I forgot my palette knife, so all the paint was applied with a Bright Brush.  I didn't fuss with it, spent a nice quiet morning outside.  Thanks for looking at my art.  Kay

Palette Knife Painting

Spending time in the rugged mountains and desert of Arizona is a change of pace for me.  I soaked in the sun and the landscape, painting the wide open sky with the mountains in the background. I also worked on a large piece that I have been struggling with for weeks.
