Wing Series: Painting #12

Wing Series:  Painting #13 out of 100
I was revisiting some of my paintings from the past year, and this 8" x 8" oil on RayMar Panel caught my eye.  I was painting on these small panels on a daily basis, and enjoying them, until I had something come up....distractions of daily life, or a commission ---- I don't remember exactly.  I got side-tracked.  But, I am going to start #31 soon....maybe with the new year.  I hope to get into the studio today and get organized and paint something fun.  Now that Christmas is over, I have the new year to look forward to with new projects and lots of painting!  Thanks for viewing, Kay at kay@kwyne.com.

Just when I am getting in the groove to paint these little panels, I run out of them. I have placed a rather large order with RayMar, and more are being shipped! I am putting the final touches on a commission that needs to dry before shipping. Look for #13 tomorrow....thanks, Kay

Here is the eighth painting in this series...as I research creatures with wings, I am finding all kinds of interesting material to paint. Keeping a limited color palette is hard for me, but I am focusing on using only four or five colors. Thanks for looking at this blog and the art posted. Have a great day....Kay at 214-532-0325 or kay@kwyne.com.

On my Eeasel...

On my easel...I am entering a juried show this week, and need to finish this painting. I worked on the lettering (which you really can't see in this photo), added more detail, lots more color, and worked on the border yesterday. The paint is so wet that I need to let it sit for a while. I also started base coat of paint on a large canvas, but not sure what I will be be painting. Thanks for viewing my blog......have a good day.
