Fourth of July by Kay Wyne

Fourth of July

8" x 16" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel

Ready to frame or simply stand on an easel.

Spending the Fourth of July Up North is so much fun.  The colors in the cottage flower box are in peak season.  I was able to paint en plain air, enjoying the fresh flowers and crisp clean air.  The box was over-flowing with cascading plants.  Thanks for looking at this blog...more paintings from Up North to come! This painting is hanging at Stonehenge Gardens in East Jordan, Michigan. Contact Kay Wyne for more information on the art posted here.  KMW

16" x 12" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel

This floral still life was inspired by the beautiful flowers from Denise Klingbeil's cottage garden in Northern Michigan.  The colors in the arrangement are fresh and vibrant.  Painting fresh flowers on a cottage porch is absolutely the best experience!  Here is a pic of the arrangement, although they were much prettier in person.

Oh Happy Day! by Kay Wyne

Oh Happy Day!

18" x 36" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas

Contemporary Floral Still Life Painting

This painting is one of my favorites, because I was so happy when I painted it, and it just flowed onto the canvas.  It was the day after our kiddos told us they were expecting...our first grandchild.  I mixed piles of greys, greens, lavenders and whites before I started painting.  Then I stood in front of the canvas with my palette knife and started pushing and pulling the paint.  This painting is available through Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas.  Thanks for looking at this blog. Kay
