This Little Piggy by Kay Wyne

This Little Piggy
8" x 6" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel
Contemporary Oil Painting
Day 2 in the 30 Paintings in 30 Days
$100 plus shipping
I worked on this little painting yesterday in the studio...I have painted this mid-western piggy several times....this one was on a small canvas.  He is walking through the grass, looking around. I remember the day that I took the pic of this guy on an Amish farm in Illinois, several years ago.  The oils are thick and juicy, with brush strokes and texture. It will take a while for this to dry.  Contact Kay Wyne for more information.  More daily painting on my easel!  Thanks for looking...Kay

I See Everything

I See Everything
36" x 18" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
Contemporary Piggy Painting
I photographed this very large pig on a farm in the midwest.  I loved his coloring and his eyes...although you can't see them, I know he was seeing everything around him.  He filled up the canvas, with his imposing size.  This painting is at the studio and is looking for a new home.  Contact Kay for purchasing info.  Thanks for looking...Kay

Piggy Piggy - sold

Piggy Piggy
Contemporary Pig - Sold
18" x 18" Oil on Canvas
This painting is sold, but I want to paint more piggies in the near future, so I thought I would think about layout and composition now.  I saw some pigs and hogs at the Texas State Fair last week, and that was inspiration to get into the studio and paint.  John and I went to the Pig Races at the Fair...that was fun!  Thanks for looking at this blog....I will have some new roosters posted soon, as I have four unfinished ones on my easel.  Kay

I See Everything

I See Everything
Oil on Canvas

This 18" x 36" Gallery Wrap Canvas has the image of the pig coming off the canvas as if he was walking towards you.  I used a very wide brush to apply the oils.  His eyes are hidden by his big, floppy ears, but he could see, therefore the title, I See Everything.  My inspiration for this painting was a pig that I photographed on a recent trip to Illinois.  Thanks for viewing this blog and my art...Kay

Piggy Wiggy

Piggy Wiggy
18" x 18" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
Contemporary Oil Painting
I had to paint this piggy that I saw scampering around at an Amish farm in Illinois a couple of weeks ago....he had a great shape, wonderful coloring, and ran around the farm with an attitude.  I think he was in charge.....this pig was running loose, checking out the horses, cattle, and sheep.  I don't know if he had broken out of his pen, but when he can running towards me I hopped back into the car.  I wanted Piggy Wiggy on a square canvas because of his stockiness.  It was intentional to have him painted off the canvas to imply his size and give interest to the painting.  Thanks for viewing this blog and the art posted.  Kay at 214-532-0325 or kay@kwyne.com

Piggie Portrait

Piggie Portrait
6" x 8" Oil on RayMar Panel
This little painting was fun to paint....after a visit to East Lake Veterinary Hospital
Go to:  http://www.welovepets.net
There were two pot-bellied pigs up for adoption.  One was named Kevin Bacon and the other was named Jeff Hamm.  I think this one is Jeff.
This painting is available for sale at $100.
