Reflections by Kay Wyne

Reflections
Commission - Sold
36" x 60" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
This commission is has been framed up and is hanging in a Texas church!  The harbor, lighthouse and sailboats all were requested by the designer to be a part of this painting.  Painting the reflections in gave the water interest and movement.  I used a palette knife, a plastic wedge, and some wide, flat brushes to apply the paint.  I can't wait to see this painting in it's new home!  Thanks for looking at my art, and feel free to contact me with any questions concerning commissions.  Have an artful day, Kay

Docked at White Rock by Kay Wyne

Docked at White Rock
16" x 20" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel
Contemporary Oil Painting
These two row boats were tied up at White Rock Lake in Dallas, and I thought that they were great subjects to paint.  Using a couple of wide brushes, this colorful seascape/marine painting was fun to paint.  Contact Kay Wyne for purchasing info on this painting or any of my other original oils.  Thanks, Kay

Lake View by Kay Wyne

Lake View
18" x 24" Oil on Canvas
Framed
I was going through my stash of paintings, and found this seascape that was painted about fifteen years ago.  It's clear that my painting style has changed over the years...and that my interest in seascapes has lessened. I always get inspired when we vacation Up North and have the opportunity to really study the water, boats and reflections.  This painting is a keeper-not because it a great painting (and it isn't great), but it reminds me after painting hundreds of canvases, as an artist there is always room for improvement and growth in my paintings.  I can see where I have been on my painting journey.  Thanks for looking at my blog...Kay Wyne

Row Boat by Kay Wyne

Row Boat
9" x 12" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
This small painting is simple and colorful.  My favorite part of the painting is the refection of the boat in the water.  The wide brushstrokes were laid in, and then I left it, moved on to another part of the painting.  This painting is available.  Contact Kay Wyne for more information.  Thanks, KMW

Row Boat by Kay Wyne

Row Boat
9" x 12" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
Contemporary Seascape Painting
I was in the mood to paint a boat...and here's my small row boat.  I think it is complete...I will see what it looks like after letting it rest overnight.  The water has strokes of purples, greys, blues, corals and yellow.  I couldn't just paint the water one color.  I wanted to catch the reflection, the ripples and the movement in the water.  It was a fun little painting.  Thanks for looking at my blog....Kay
