Contemporary Still Life

I started this painting during the Strada Easel Challenge, and really liked the subject matter on this panel.  I added a few details on the corn and radishes, and changed the background color. The cabbage was so much fun to paint...I need to go to Sprouts more often and purchase colorful and interesting veggies and fruit.  I can't wait to varnish and frame this painting up!  Contact Kay for more info.  Thanks, KMW

Today is the opening reception at the Dutch Art Gallery for the Artists of Texas...this painting is all framed up and hanging for that show. Please stop by from 2-5 today for the artist's reception. Today is a busy day for so many people...there are alot of events in Dallas...including the State Fair of Texas, Texas/OU footbal, Race for the Cure, White Rock Artist Studio Tour, and the list goes on and on. Thank heavens we are having wonderful crisp, sunny weather. No rain in the forecast. I will be away from my easel today, but hope to get back in the studio tomorrow. Thanks for viewing my blog!
