It's another boat painting for a Northern Michigan boater and collector of art---capturing the waves and excitement of being a part of the Boyne Thunder Race in July. This beautiful boat is making it's way through the channel in Charlevoix, Michigan out into Lake Michigan. I wanted to capture the colorful crowd, the neat lighthouse and the captain of boat - Jim - on canvas. This painting is drying in the studio, and will be varnished before it is shipped Up North!
