Contemporary Palette Knife Painting

This painting is one of several in a series...all same size canvas, similar color palette, all exploring the landscape.  I usually have issues painting with green, but I found some greens that I liked....I mixed and mixed and mixed.  And probably won't be be able to repeat this green because I was experimenting with my paints and didn't write my recipe for this color down.  There are four more pieces that are possible companion pieces...for a grouping.  Check back tomorrow for another painting!  Contact Kay for purchasing information.  Thanks, Kay

This abstract is painted with my oil paints, and then I went in with oil pastels in a stick---they are different, but fun to experiment with. Horizon Series: Abstract 10

Today's posting is a very vertical piece...6" x 20" canvas. It would fit in a tight spot on a wall...possibly a small space between a doorway and bookshelves, or a little empty space in a hallway. This abstract is down at Studio Art and Soul right now. Since it has multiple layers of paint on it, it is going to take some time to dry.
