Now that Christmas is here, I can post this painting of Ollie.  I painted this several months ago...it was a surprise Christmas gift for a young couple in Boston.  I hope they enjoy this doggie portrait...I know they love their Ollie!  I am spending Christmas with John and the family.  I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas!  Kay

I have been working on this handsome chocolate lab painting for a while...actually, I had him all finished, and needed to work on the eyes. Once I re-worked the eyes, I decided to re-do his snout. His coat is very dark and slick. I am letting him dry for a few days before I make any more changes. Thanks for viewing this blog...

On the easel...Jackson Huette

Jackson is on a 10" x 10" canvas. I wish I had put him on a larger canvas. This painting has a good start. But it isn't close to being finished. I got alot of paint on him after two days, and then had to let it sit. The nose and eyes need work, and I am not happy with the background. This chocolate lab is still a pup and lives in Ridgefield, CT. The tiny photograph that I am working from doesn't show alot of detail. I hope to get to the studio today and work on him.
