After a recent trip to Santa Fe, I was inspired to paint the beautiful sunflowers...and this one had already peaked. But it was still beautiful with it's various shades of ochre and green, and it's unusual shape. I had to apply numerous layers on the silver leaf...this painting is drying in the studio, and is looking for a home. Since it is painted on cradleboard, framing is optional.
