I was in the studio looking for something to paint, as I didn't have any fresh flowers. I came across a photo that studio mate Selena had passed along to me. It was a great photo of a sunflower garden. So that's how this one started, and ended up with this title when studio mate Sharon told me it the blooms in the foreground look like they are turning their heads. I agreed, and then named this one "Turning Heads". Sunflowers are so interesting, irregular and exciting to paint. This painting is available for purchase, and it is drying in the studio.
