Yesterday was a windy day in Dallas, and I wanted to paint something different, so I pulled out a photograph that John Gruenig took of The Fairmont in San Francisco. I didn't want to get into the details of the architecture of this beautiful building, but wanted to capture the colors of the day and highlight the flags whipping in the wind.
