Reflections
12" x 16" Plein Air Landscape
Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel
Yesterday morning was a good day for painting
along Turtle Creek and catching the colors of
the day. The sky was changing quickly and the
light and shadows were constantly moving.
I used my trusty palette knife on this panel...
my goal was to nail the colors of the day and
get the lily pads in the painting. At first I was
very concerned that there was too much green
in the landscape, and also so many variations
of green. I was wanting to finish this painting
before I left the scene, so after about an hour and
a half, this is what I painted with the Tutti
group. This painting is drying at the studio....
