Contemporary Landscape
On a recent Texas Hill Country trip, I found myself taking a early morning walk. The sun was coming up, and the shadows were laying across this road, with view that was breathtaking. I could see forever. I was standing at the top of the hill, looking down the winding road. I new it would make a great setting for a painting. I focused on the light hitting the cactus and the long shadows falling across the road and hitting the rugged trees and shrubs. This painting is drying in the studio.
