The chapels in the Cyclades were amazing...and this one was perched on top of rocks on an island directly across from the island of Naxos where our villa was located. I was told that you boat over to the island, walk up the steps to the chapel from the shoreline. Special services are held on Greek Easter on this island. Every morning I would wake up to this view---it was amazing. Thanks to Jim for taking the early morning photo! Getting the blues right in the sky and water is what I focused on, and then I used a palette knife to put the rugged mountains and rocks. This painting is all framed up and ready for a new home!
