On the High Road

On the High Road
On one of our trips to Santa Fe, John and I took a day trip: The High Road to Taos Scenic Byway. It is a lovely, winding road through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains between Santa Fe and Taos. The landscape was fabulous.....magnificent vistas of snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows, and charming traditional Spanish and Pueblo villages. This drive through the mountains has inspired many artists and artisans who live along the High Road. As we were driving through the village of Truchas, John pulled off the road and I photographed some horses fenced in a yard with the mountains in the background. There were three horses standing there, ready for a photo session. Contact Kay if you are interested in this painting.  Thanks for viewing....Kay
