Georgie Boy

Georgie Boy
12" x 12" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
Contemporary Palette Knife Painting
This is yesterday's painting demo at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, Texas for a group of lovely women from Rockwall, Texas.  We had George, the rooster there live from our neighbors at Gecko Hardware Store in Lake Highlands come down and do some modeling.  He was really good for 90 minute session.  I photographed this while it was very wet, so there is a little glare on it.  This paint is very thick!  But because I used impasto, it will dry fast.  It is on a gallery wrap canvas, so no frame is necessary.  Thanks for looking at this blog.  Contact Kay with any comments or questions.  Kay

  3. Thanks for your comments, Sue and Lori...I can't wait to paint some more portraits of George. He is going to the State Fair of Texas, so he might not be available in the next few weeks. The painting challenge is fun....it is great to see all the wonderful art. Kay
