Hollyhocks stand tall in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My starting place for this painting began with a photograph of hollyhocks in downtown Santa Fe. A friend of a friend passed the photograph along to me, and I asked permission to paint the garden. These hollyhocks were colorful of various sizes and shapes. I had fun with this painting, as it was the first time that I had painted hollyhocks. I plan on painting more! This one is drying in the studio. Thanks for looking at my art.
