Fly Away Dragon Fly

Fly Away Dragon Fly
48" x 48"
Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
This painting has gone through many is a very large canvas....four feet by four feet. It takes alot of paint to cover it. At one point (several months ago) I thought it was finshed, and was ready to hang. After viewing it for months, I decided that it wasn't finished, and added the dragon fly. There are layers of color, layers of lines, and layers of shapes in this painting. I used a palette knife, wide brush strokes and a oil pastel stick. If you are interested in this painting, please contact me. This painting will be hanging at the Texas Discovery Gardens, located in Fair Park, Dallas, Texas next month. Thanks for viewing this blog!

  1. Wow! I'd like to see this in person to get a sense of the textures and layers. Very nice!
