Parade Route

This painting was sold on Saturday at the Dutch Art Gallery. It is a 12" x 12" gessoed masonite oil painting. I was inspired by the beads hanging on fences, telephone wires, trees...all over New Orleans. I just could not believe that these beads were left behind....just a sign of what a fun, colorful party town New Orleans is. I hope the new owner of this painting enjoys it! Thanks for viewing my blog.

  1. Kay,
This is such a "fun" painting. You captured all the spirit of New Orleans. The "old world" feel in the fence is just perfect and the modern beads are the "party"! Wahoo! Congratulations on the sale and the show at The Dutch Art Gallery!
