Contemporary Floral Still Life
I worked on several painting in the studio yesterday, and after I got bored with them, I pulled out a new panel and painted away. Using a new #8 Bright Brush and all the left-over paint on my palette, I started a floral still life. The oils were mixed, and I was able to pull this one off alla prima. My first attempt was spontaneous and lively. I did not go back into the paint once I laid it on the canvas...this painting is very wet, and once it dries I can't wait to put a frame on it.
