This painting was inspired by a photograph that I took while at the Dallas Arboretum about a week ago. It was a clear, sunny and warm January day. But very few flowers, and not much color to paint from. I was looking up at this statue, and it was striking as it had all the bare tree limbs in the background. This will go to the Arboretum Exhibit this month. I can't wait to get back to the Arboretum and paint en plein air!Contemporary original oil paintings created by Texas artist Kay Miller Wyne.
