Contemporary Still Life Painting
This colorful still life is framed in a beautiful gold frame. When I painted this, I was focusing on the light source and wanted to get the dramatic shadows painted in. My favorite part of the painting is the fruit and the edges of the petals on the peonies. I was letting my brush dance around, giving the petals a playful, loose look.
