Itty-Bitty

Itty-Bitty
3" x 3" Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel
$85 Includes Frame!
This little rooster is all framed up and ready to find a new home!  Pam Massar Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas asked me to paint a small rooster in a very small frame...painting on a 3" x 3" canvas is challenging....I prefer a 30" x 30"!!!!  But, I pulled out two new brushes that were tiny, and here's my results.  As you can see, I am holding the frame and it is small!  Thus, the name of this rooster is Itty-Bitty.  I have four more smalls that I am working on, along with a commission for a Christmas gift...more painting today!  Thanks for looking...Kay

  1. Hi, Kay. This is adorable! The frame is perfect for the perky subject. I'll bet you could sell a lot of these ready-framed paintings if they are all this cute.

Original art is not in my budget, but I might be tempted if the prices were posted with each painting. : )

    1. Susan....thanks for looking at my blog and the suggestion. I usually paint BIG so itty-bitty is a challenge for me....but fun! I will see what the gallery has in stock! Merry Christmas!

  2. Where did you find the perfect frame for your 3x3 canvas?

    1. Donna, I saw these little frames at Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas, and the gallery owner said that they were samples, all made up. She asked me to bring in some small roosters, but the smallest I had was 8" x 8"....so I took the frames (I have five of them) and had my RayMar panels cut down. Then I painted the tiny rooster to fit the frame. So I found the frames first, then painted the rooster! Thanks for looking.....Kay
