I had some fun with the painting...branching out and using some other materials along with the oil paints. I started with a few shapes and the image of the dragonfly, and kept adding and adding as I worked on it. There is alot of negative space, which gives the eye a rest from all the of the colors, lines and shapes in this abstract. The natural raw linen is beautiful in color and texture, so I did not want to totally cover it up in paints.
