This 8" x 10" oil painting was painted by the request of Carrie Harris. Carrie had always told me that she would get married in the Chapel of Transfiguration, located in the Grand Teton National Park. Last night Carrie and Clay Arnold were married in Jackson Hole, but not in the chapel....the setting was absolutely beautiful. The mountains were majestic. John & Kay, Lindsay & Wes Henry...Lindsay was a bridesmaid. Wes had a very important job.....holding the door with Andy before the bride was escorted down the isle. We all enjoyed the moving service located at the base of the mountains. Carrie was a beautiful bride, and the wedding was breath-taking. The reception was lovely, with dinner and dancing under the big tent. It was a perfect day. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Clay Arnold!
This contemporary oil was inspired by the aspens in Santa Fe, NM. I used a wide brush and the palette knife. Please contact Kay if you are interested in this painting, and thank you for viewing this blog. Kay
This is one of my favorite paintings....a city chick. When John and I visited the Dallas Chicken Coup Tour last year, we found many feathered friends to photograph and admire. I liked Coop because she has attitude. I have a couple of rooster paintings started in the studio, and hope to post them soon. Thanks for viewing this blog. Kay
This sweet little calf is nestled down in the grass. I painted this during a Karen Bonnie workshop in Wimberly, Texas down in the hill country. Please contact me if you are interested in this painting. Thanks for viewing....Kay
